Karan is a Partner in K Law’s Civil and Commercial Litigation, Arbitration, and Debt Recovery practice groups. He has specialised expertise in matters of insolvency and bankruptcy, aviation, real estate, debt recovery, property disputes, estate planning, sexual harassment cases, government tenders, intellectual property rights, criminal trials, consumer disputes, and family and matrimonial law. He advises and represents MSMEs, start-ups, multinational conglomerates, public companies, trusts, and partnerships across sectors such as real estate, banking, consumer electronics, insurance, aviation, telecom, manufacturing, hospitality, and gaming. His clientele includes real estate developers, jute mills, public sector banks, cooperative banks, casinos, traditional lottery organisers, HNIs, and elevator manufacturers.
Before joining K Law, he was the Co-Founding and Co-Managing Partner at Iuris Consultus, where he led high-stakes litigation for a diverse clientele across India for over 6 years. He has frequently appeared before the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, the Competition Commission of India (CCI), the Prevention of Money Laundering Appellate Tribunal (PMLA), the National Company Law Tribunals (NCLTs), the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), and the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (NCDRC)
- Successfully represented 14.2 kg LPG cylinder manufacturers before the Supreme Court of India in the landmark judgment Rajasthan Cylinders & Containers Ltd v. Union of India (2018 SCC Online SC 1718)
- Successfully represented locomotive pilots before the Supreme Court of India in the reportable judgment Jarnail Singh v. Lachhmi Narain Gupta ([2018] 10 S.C.R 663) in the constitutional challenge to the M. Nagaraj case
- Successfully represented financial creditors before the NCLT’s Principal Bench in the reportable judgment Vishal Fabrics & Ors v. AVJ Developers (India) Pvt Ltd (2021 SCC Online NCLT 29787)
- Advised and represented Pawan Gupta, Founder, PP Jewellers, and his companies
