Gautam has worked extensively with leading media channels, Fortune 500 companies, and law firms, advising on compliance with applicable legislations such as the Copyright Act (1957), Cinematograph Act (1952), Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act (1995), Information Technology Act (2000), the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules (2011), and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules (2021). He also has specialised expertise in the acquisition of content from international studios and music labels, advisory on interactions with associations such as IFTPC, FWICE, and SWA, advisory on publishing deals and gaming laws, and laws surrounding NFTs and related contracts.
His legal acumen has been trusted by the likes of Infosys Technologies, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Fox Star (now Disney Star), and Sony Pictures.
