We believe the practice of law is inseparable from the responsibilities we hold toward our community, environment, and future generations. And as a firm, we are deeply committed to giving back to our communities and our planet. This has inspired our Diwali tradition of planting trees as a festive gift to our clients. In the process, we’ve sown over 12,600 trees, helping offset 2.56 million kg of carbon and employing local community members for 100+ workdays. In the same spirit, we support social welfare organisations such as Akshaya Patra, WWF, HelpAge India, and Leprosy Mission, on behalf of our employees.

K Law is also dedicated to supporting legal education as a way to empower communities at the grassroots level. The firm was the first contributor to the late Prof. Shamnad Basheer’s Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access Project (IDIA), which gives students from humble backgrounds access to the best law schools in the country. We are working with Burnished Law Journal to provide internship opportunities to students from minority groups, the LGBTQIA+ community, etc.

Our organisational values trickle down even to an individual level. Our Founding Partner, Naina Krishna Murthy, supports several animal welfare organisations, including the WWF, while Managing Partner Shwetambari Rao mentors children at Snehalya Children’s Homes and serves on the advisory board of BalUtsav, an organisation working towards education for the underprivileged.
